At our centre located in the Southwest (SW) on the outskirts of Taunton, Somerset, we embrace the transformative power of horses through Equine Facilitated Learning. Jennifer
My name is Jennifer. I am the founder and Director of Stable of Hope.
Combining my own experiences and knowledge of Domestic Abuse, grief and anxiety, I set up Stable of Hope. We are a not for profit organisation to help and support people in the community and beyond.
It all started in 2014 when, by chance, I came across a yearling pony who had been badly abused. He was weak, battered, scarred and had completely shut down emotionally. The sadness in his eyes I still remember to this day!
With no experience or knowledge of horses I knew I just could not walk away and leave him to be abused anymore. So the journey of healing began for the both of us. At the time we did not not realise that we would be saving each other!………..
